When the tiles are dry, apply the first coat of a sealer. Using a foam brush, gently brush across the tile in one direction. Do not go back and forth over the same spot because you could mistakenly drag the paint across the tile. Start at the top of the tile and gently work down. Go over each spot only once.

If your backsplash ceramic tile is otherwise in fantastic shape but the color is less than stellar, you don't have to pull it off the wall and purchase expensive sheets of new ceramic tile to install. A bit of priming and a few coats of primer and paint can bring a whole new look to your space.
