Squeeze a small amount of the leather dye onto a clean sponge. Make sure you use a leather dye which is the same colour of your couch. The leather dye will cover the damaged area with colour, masking any discolouration from the scratches.

To repair scratches on leather furniture, use a cotton swab to rub olive oil, baby oil, or saddle oil into the scratch. Then, let the oil dry for an hour before wiping it off. If the scratch is still there, try again and let the oil sit for longer. For deeper scratches, start by clipping away any loose fibers around the edge of the scratch.
Sand down the glue using a fine grade sandpaper. You just want to sand the glue down so that it lays flush with the leather, but be careful not to scratch the leather with the sandpaper. Brush off any sand or grit that might be on the leather with your hands.
Using a large needle or toothpick, apply a flexible fabric or leather glue to the underside of the leather. Spread the glue in a thin layer wherever the leather will contact the sub patch. Press the leather onto the sub patch, gently pulling the tear back to its original shape. Wipe away excess glue with a paper towel.
